The Rotary Clubs of Copenhagen and Malmö/South
Sweden were co-hosts for The
Rotary International Convention in 2006. It was the first time the celebration took place in the Nordic region, and it was also for the first time it was embraced by the hospitality of two counties. The five days long gathering brought around 14.500 Rotarians to both cities.
Not only had the convention significantly contributed to the national tourism turnover in both countries, especially in Denmark. The survey made afterwards among participants has also shown that the overall satisfaction level with the participants’ stay in
the region was 4.1 on a 5-point scale (5 = very satisfied).
So, the same to you: it was a real pleasure to host fellow Rotarian in our beautiful Öresund region!
